PSP Code Lyoko Review

Posted on 20:12 by Unknown
Code Lyoko is an action/adventure game. I was looking at recent PSP releases, This game got my attention even though I had no idea this is based on animated series. I however did find it interesting on some of the game play. The things that jumped to my attention starting the game were: The Nice intro movie, as you can see on the video below, and it also has an interesting way to do battle. Every character have their own technique. Sometimes using a specific character for their technique in order to defeating some types of monsters. You can switch characters (total of 4) anytime you want.

All the interesting game play is inside a parallel virtual world by the name of Lyoko. This is where to explore, encounter enemies, and bosses. The heroes try to dispose of a threat In Lyoko that could very well destroy their own world.

Truthfully, Code Lyoko did not do much for me, and this could be, because this game is based on animated series I have never herd of or watched. So it falls in game plots that I no clue of. Those who are familiar to the anime will have more interest for sure.

Code Lyoko is now available worldwide. It is published by The Game Factory (where fun is made. lol). and developed by Neko entertainment. It is also on Nintendo DS, PS2, and Nintento Wii.

PSP Memory Cards

Posted on 15:00 by Unknown
Everyone knows that in order to save games, play video content, view pictures and to do mostly anything on the PSP, you need to have a PSP memory card. They come in a variety of prices, and this depends on how much storage you want. The largest memory size capability is the recommended choice. You will be able to store lots of data, including, movies, music, pictures, much more media and computer files.

Some great deals are found below for the different memory card size capacity. Check these out:

Super Gem Fighter Mini Mix PSP Review

Posted on 13:22 by Unknown
For the longest time I have been searching for Super Gem Fighter Mini Mix, although it came out some years ago, and maybe considered as an old game developed by Capcom, I remember seeing it at the local arcades. It was not that popular, or at least at the arcade I used to visit frequently.

I do believe its a great fighting game, and excellent for PSP. Portability is always great, and this game connects the two very nicely.

Some may think this is a kiddy game, and in fact it seems so to me too. The chibi-like characters and collecting gems, and how easy it could be for anyone to make a hit combo (just press same button many times), definitely spells it. ha! but so what, I still like it just for the fun factor. Never have I seen a character change outfit while doing combo. haha!

The character roster include some of those from Street Fighter 2, 3, Alpha, Darkstakers, and Red Earth. Hidden character: Akuma, and Dan. My personal favorite: Sakura, Morrigan, Ken, and Ryu.

Puzzle Quest: Galatrix PSP Preview

Posted on 14:06 by Unknown
Puzzle Quest: Galatrix is a sequel to Puzzle Quest: Challenge Of The Warlords. I did get a chance to play Puzzle Quest: Chanllenge Of The Warlords, and I must say I was amazed, and was greatly entertained with it. Yes, I also went through the entire game from beginning to end, but I must say It was quite a long journey. Some battles took more time than expected, but of course I did not want to loose, so every move was carefully thought of as it was critical.

The concept of Puzzle Quest is to match the perspective colors, aligning them as at least 3 in a row. there are green, yellow, blue, and red for mana consumption, which help with the casting of spells, purple for experience points, and skulls for attacking. I do believe Puzzle Quest: Galatrix will have the same based functions to do battle as Challenge Of The Warlords, but maybe a little bit tweaked and with different names.

For those of you who are familiar to Puzzle Quest: Challenge Ot The Warlords, and had a good experience playing this out of the ordinary puzzle game, Galatrix is a must. It sure is for me. I can't wait to get my hands on this game. Puzzle Quest: Galatrix is published by D3 Publisher, and is developed by Infinite Interactive. As to the PSP release date for the U.S., not quite sure, but said to be at the beginning of 2009.

King Of Fighters Collection: The Orochi Saga. PSP Preview

Posted on 00:08 by Unknown
KOF Collection: The Orochi Saga is a collection of five complete KOF games. Did you have enough fighting already? The games included are: The Orochi Saga trilogy ('95-'97) as well as KOF '94 and KOF '98: Dream Match Never Ends. This collection is also packed with many great unlockable bonus features.

I think it is a must for me. I have been playing these games ever since the first tournament back in 94 I believe. Although I am not so good as some real hardcore fighting game players I do hold my average talent and can do the basics and special and super special moves.

The KOF series always held second place to Street Fighter 2 in my book. Fatal Fury did not do so good when it came out, and ever since SNK had been trying to come up with fighting games that would be as popular as Street Fighter 2. Well that was way back then, I really have no clue who leads in the fighting game genre today, and with the implemented 3d graphics to most systems nowadays, Tekken, Virtual Fighter and others are also popular.

KOF Collection: The Orochi Saga is developed and published by SNK Playmore. It is schedule to be released on October 14, 2008. Iori will kick major @ss! ^_^ watch my video here!!

Out in stores now:

Star Ocean: First Departure PSP Preview

Posted on 13:16 by Unknown

I remember playing Star Ocean: The Second Story on the PSone almost 10 years ago. Boy! it was great. This is the one with Rena Lanford, a girl, and Claude Kenni, a guy. Apparently you choose one of the hero's to be the main character of the story. After looking at the video previews of Star Ocean: First Departure I notice some similarities of the Second Story. For example, the graphics, and battle system are the same.

I loved the battle system. It works differently than most RPG's. It is not by taking turns for you to hit, or do any other type of action, but it is real time fighting. It has been so long since I last played the Second Story that I forgot how many maximum characters were able to do battle, but I do believe its 4. Of course you control one character, while the other are controlled by the CPU. You can of course switch to other characters you want to control in battle, and do not have worry about the other guys as you can assign their way to conduct battle.

Another feature that the Second Story had was Item Creation. I would spend countless hours trying to make my top notch weapons and other accessories and even food to win contests and stuff. Yes the food contest was one of my favorite mini games to play.

If you ever played Second Story and got to the end, you'd know that the game had different endings as the way the story would had developed. That was also great about that game. I just hope every single of those elements were conserved for First Departure on PSP.

Star Ocean: First Departure is developed and published by Square Enix, and Schedule to be released for the United States on October 21, 2008. I can't wait to play it!!
