How To Place PSOne Games On PSP Video Tutorial

Posted on 22:58 by Unknown

/hihi hello everyone!

This is just Amazing, I have never thought of doing the actual gaming conversion from PSOne to the PSP. Yea, I play PSOne games on my PSP, but all the games are downloaded from other sites. Here is a good explanation on how simple it really is. This is not my video by the way. It's from one of my friends at Youtube. Enjoy! :D

About PSP Video Converting Software

Posted on 23:18 by Unknown
Apart from playing games on my PSP I do enjoy watching videos on my PSP once in a while. Just some anime episodes or some funny clips will be good to play around my friends and have a laugh. Where do I get videos to watch? You may be asking? Well they are really all over the place. But I will have to say that YouTube.com has really a large library of videos and so that is really where I usually download most the ones I watch.

For those who might not know and have custom firmware installed in their PSP, there is a homebrew application called PSP Tube. Which is really great for downloading videos from YouTube and other video sites. All you need after you install this application is a good memory stick that will hold the space needed for the downloads and an internet connection via Wi-fi.

If you do not have a PSP with custom firmware then your best option is to convert the videos so the PSP will be able to play them. PSP only plays MP4s and I think WMA files, (there might be others I do not know just yet) but MP4s are best. I downloaded this software called "PSP Video 9" it is absolutely free software. You can click on the link and download it. It is easy to use and I recommend it to all. So have fun watching your favorite video on your PSP.

Repairing UMD Shells Tutorial

Posted on 13:28 by Unknown

This is really good information about how to do a UMD shell repair yourself. Do not think when you brake your UMD shell it's "game over". I really think that most of us do get careless once in a while, and sometimes or maybe most of the time the actual UMD disk is not affected, just the shell. This shows how you can save your UMDs and save you lots of money too.

How To Add Themes To Your PSP Tutorial

Posted on 00:03 by Unknown

Interesting! I have learned the standard way to get themes on my PSP, but was not aware that on some CFW some rules applies to which file extensions are to be used for a specific CFW. Anyway this is a nice tutorial on PSP themes. Make your PSP stand out from the rest.

Puzzle Quest Challenge of The Warlords PSP Battle Lord Bane

Posted on 14:18 by Unknown
I do play this game much lately. I know its quite some time since it came out, but fun to play with multi-players. Always challenging and since CW Cheat does not seem to be working on this game, well, maybe except the creation of anvils (a little). It might just be because of the CFW I have, so my only option to be unbeatable or somewhat unbeatable was to really collect money from the towns and add more skills to my character.

Now my Knight character has the following skills:
Earth Mastery..........100
Fire Mastery.............100
Air Mastery...............100
Water Mastery.........100
Battle..........................120
Cunning......................100
Morale........................103

My level has reached top level 50, all spells from all capture creatures and mounts. and most if not all great items created with the rune stones.

You want to see for yourself and play my Puzzle Quest Challenge of the Warlods File? Download it here!(link Unavailable) extract the rar file, then place it in the "SaveData" folder inside the "PSP" folder of your PSP memory stick. Enjoy!!

Below is me playing against Lord Bane(last boss of the game) I beat him easy under 2 minutes with the help of his own Death Gaze spell. He starts off by having 16 % spell resistance so the spell might be rejected the first time. but you still have 84 % chance it will hit!

Getting 309,400 Experience Points On SOSE On PSP

Posted on 23:42 by Unknown

You can do this once you are on "Energy Nede" after getting the Psynard. Then you will be off to clear the four fields of test. Right below the center of the map there is a floating island called the "field of love". I suggest you have leveled up a bit, before going there, because there are some really hard monsters in there, especially those mages that disappear when moving. Those are really hard to kill. but while on that field you will sometimes encounter those jello looking things with some type of sphere in the center. Its good you come across these monsters often because they do give much experience when you kill em.

Before you go into battle with these monsters though, you will need an experience card. You can create one using the art item creation with magic canvas. That is what I did, so, then after you can replicate it using a magical camera or ririca(best of the two) and magical films. It is best when you have a character that has level up the replication skill.

O.k. once in battle, make sure your characters are set not to attack the enemy. especially not with magic. (take note that you will need someone in your party who is able to use symbology). You can use anyone in your party to do physical attacks, and most likely they won't do much damage to the jello looking monsters. You will see they start to duplicate themselves. not to worry, they do not do much damage either. You will want them to duplicate as much as they can. But I think there is a limit on how many times they can do this per battle. You will notice they have reach their limit on duplicating when you try to attack them, they try to duplicate themselves for a split second, but go back to normal. It's a good idea to use the experience card after that. Now you will need someone to do magic spell, like Celine. Do thundercloud or similar magic that will damage all enemies. Just make sure all characters in your party are away from the enemies, because sometimes the jello looking monsters explode after they receive magic attack, and lots of poison bubbles generates from them. If you take more than 2 you are in trouble. (of course you want all your party members to be alive when battle is over, so they can get credit for the experience received).

Once you have killed all the monsters you will receive 309,400 experience points(154,700 if you do not use the experience card). It's is the most I have ever received in just one battle. You can do this over again and level up fast, and get lots Skill Points(SP) too.

PSP 3000: First Homebrew Games

Posted on 14:28 by Unknown
First off, this is an exploit, not actually CFW just yet, but getting close. The first one is called "Gripshift Pong". You actually need the UMD version of "Gripshift", and also run the Hello World Sparta SDK exploit from FreePlay and MaTiAz for it to work on your PSP 3000. A little more explanation and example on the video below.

The second one is called "Bomberman Gripshift V1". Again you need both things mentioned above to make it work on the PSP 3000 and I do believe they mentioned that could work on other PSP not version 3000.

Here is more on Gripshift Pong! (dead link)

Here is more on Bomberman Gripshift!(dead link)

To tell you the truth these two games seem like a total waste of time. they are milestones old and not the slightest bit interesting for me. But, again, I do however feel these are the first steps on getting the PSP 3000 hacked. It won't be too long till we next hear that there is CFW on the PSP 3000.

Tutorial: Playing PSOne (PSX) Games on Your PSP: Warcraft 2

Posted on 11:53 by Unknown
First of all, this was tested on my PSP and it works just fine. My CFW is 4.01 M33, but this is going to work on any PSP with CFW 3.80 M33 and above. The needed files are:
1. seplugins folder that is located on the root of the memory stick on the PSP, and
2 .prx files that are inside the popsloader folder inside the seplugins folder. Did that sound confusing? Well it might be, haha!, but don't worry I have made it really simple so there won't be any problems setting this up on your PSP, trust me. O.k. so, just follow the instructions below and you are all set to go, and let me know if you have any problems, I might not know all the solutions, but possibly I do.

Recent Problems With SNES Emulator For The PSP

Posted on 17:02 by Unknown

Ever since I upgraded my Custom Firmware to 3.90 M33-3, I could not use the SNES Emulator (snes9x TYL) I was using, (can't quite remember the version). So what I did was look for an updated version of the emulator, thinking the one I had didn't work because that specific emulator was old and outdated. As I was searching I came across many versions that I could download on this site here. I downloaded the most recent released of SNES emulator which is (I don't know if still is the most recent) "Snes9xTYLsmcm Test 5 27/05/08".

I have PSP Fat version, and even though it says it is for the Slim, it works on the Fat as well, because I tried it. The only and huge problem for me using this emulator was the fact that it got stuck on the rom game, and could not exit out of it unless you did a hard reset. I did not have this problem before updating my CFW. I do not know if I am the only one having this problem, or its probably the fact that my PSP is Fat version and not a Slim. Well I tried the other SNES emulators files down from that list, and still had the same problem. If anyone can help resolve this problem would be nice.

I finally found "uo_snes9x test 0" that didn't get stuck on the rom game, but it has little problems with audio, and graphics, and you can not change the PSP Clockspeed from 333 Mhz. Well, For now it will have to do since I got many SNES roms and play them constantly.

How To Transfer Music Files To The PSP

Posted on 16:11 by Unknown

Transferring music files to the PSP is really basic, and easy to do. I would not post this here, because I assume everyone already knows, as I have had my PSP for quite a while, and think everybody has, but as of lately, I have seen the increase of people getting a PSP for their first time.

Ok, what is needed?

1. PSP any Version, any Firmware

2. Computer with music files in it (MP3)

3. PSP USB Cable (The ones with a regular USB Connector on one end, and Mini-B connector on the other end.)

4. Memory Stick already inserted to the PSP

Procedure:

With the PSP USB Cable, plug in both ends to their perspective connection end. On the PSP main menu go to the “Settings” Menu and Choose “USB Connection” on the list, should be the second one from the top.

On your computer you will be notify that a removable disk have been added. Go to and open My Computer, and open up the removable disk recently added which would be the PSP’s memory stick. Browse and find the MUSIC folder under PSP folder (If not there you can create one). Drag and drop all the mp3 files there. Once done, press the terminate connection on the PSP, this is usually "O" button. Unplug it from the computer. You should now have mp3 files on your music menu on the PSP. Enjoy!!

For those needing a visual take a look at this video tutorial below!

How To Convert AndTransfer Videos To Your PSP (Using PSP Video 9)

Posted on 00:55 by Unknown
There might be more than one way to convert and transfer videos to your PSP, but searching the internet I found one way and stayed with it. "PSP Video 9" was the way to go. It is a free software for your PC that will convert any video file format into a PSP video format (MP4). The software is user friendly. In less than 10 clicks away of your computer mouse...you are done, and ready to enjoy your videos on the PSP!

Visit the official website Here and download the software and learn more about the software developers.

This is what I use and can't be happier with the results.
In case my writing didn't make sense, maybe the following video will be clear to everyone.

Can Your PSP Do This?

Posted on 23:57 by Unknown

The PSPs capable of running Homebrew, are able to emulate these game consoles. It really is amazing to be able to play all the games created for these systems. I did not get to play most of the games from the original consoles listed here. I did however own a few systems. This list, I would say, is rather limited because now it has expanded. The emulators are:

Amiga
Atari 2600
Atari 5200
Atari 7800
Atari Jaguar
Atari Lynx
ColecoVision
CPC

Game Gear
Intellivision
MO5
MAME

Master System
MSX 1

MSX 2
MTX
NeoGeo

NeoGeo CD
NeoGeo Pocket
Nintendo

Nintendo 64
Oric
Playstation one

PCE
Raine
Sam Coupe
Sega Genesis

Sega CD
Super Nintendo
Tandy Color
Vectrex
Virtual Boy
Watara
Wonderswan

My personal top 4 are:

Nintendo Entertainment System (NES)

I pick this one because it is my very first video game system. No one that is in the video game world at the time in my life could forget Mario Bros. Other titles of my own personal taste were: The legend of Zelda, Bionic Commando, Mega Man, Techmo Bowl, Castlevania, Contra, Renegade, Paper Boy, Ninja Gaiden, just to name a few. I did play so many that I forgot some names of not so popular games too.

Sega Genesis

This was my second system of all time. I got very entertained with these huge titles: Alex kid, Altered Beast, Sonic the Hedgehog, Kid Chameleon, Golden Axe, and many others. This system did replace my NES system in the way that I gave it more attention. I would rather play Genesis games than NES games.

Super Nintendo (SNES)

Excellent games in this console. I did get to play lots of games with this system. I had a membership at a local video store, so I would rent SNES games on a weekly basis. I thought I had tried all kinds of video games at this point: Action, adventure, sports, puzzle, driving, fighting, and strategy games. I never got into a game like I did when Chrono Trigger came out from Squaresoft. It is a Role Playing Game. It is the first game that made me like RPG games. I will always remember this system for that.

Neo Geo

I know a lot of Neo Geo games, not because I had the system at home. I never bought it, but the arcades are full of those games. Yes, besides having my systems at home, sometimes I would have the need to go to the local arcade and play. From Fatal Fury to the newest King of Fighters edition, (All in the fighting genre) I have had a chance get it on. Samurai Showdown 1 and 2 are some of my preferred games to play up to date.

In conclusion; for people who are old gamers like me, having a PSP can definitely be the best experience in gaming. You get to play the latest and greatest of today’s games plus get a chance to play that old game you used to love and can never forget. PSP is portable to take anywhere.

Installing the latest custom firmware can make your PSP do emulations, plus play the latest UMD games from your memory card.
