Posted on 01:42 by Unknown
No Gravity The Plague of Mind for PSP. Cool shooting game. Especially the intro. Well, I just got it, and liking the mission experience so far! :D

There is some dialog on the game intro, but on some parts I could hardly understood what the narrator was saying so I uploaded my own set of subtitles. Also knowing the video was going to show it blurry. so here is my video below! :D

Stumbled upon is cool video below on Youtube.com (It is actually a video entry contest to win a brand new PSP 3000 and games). Three lucky people will be able to win the PSP model 3000 and games too. Or at least that is what they claim. IvEr PSP V2.00 Homebrew Application Gameplay and Download

Posted on 18:28 by Unknown
Iver PSP version 2.00 is a homebrew application for the PSP. It is really many applications withing just a single application. It carries the apple, machintosh insignia.

Icons to choose from:
1. System
2. iPaint
3. iCalculator
4. Clock
5. Credits
6. iFind
7. YouTube
8. iNotes
9. Settings
10. iMaps
11. Exit
12. iDump
13. iMSN
14. iMail
15. iSafari
16. iPod

Convinient and looks just like an apple ipod device. the only thing I did not like it is that you have to constantly turn your PSP vertical and horizontal so you can get a good view of the applications. But I am sure most won't mind, right?

Anyway, I have made the download link so you can enjoy this new homebrew here!(dead link)(approximately 13.2 MB) just extract it, the place the PSP folder on root of your PSP memory card, or just copy "Iver PSP" to the "Game" folder in the PSP memory stick. Enjoy!

Puzzle Quest Challenge of The Warlords PSP Battle Lord Bane

Posted on 14:18 by Unknown
I do play this game much lately. I know its quite some time since it came out, but fun to play with multi-players. Always challenging and since CW Cheat does not seem to be working on this game, well, maybe except the creation of anvils (a little). It might just be because of the CFW I have, so my only option to be unbeatable or somewhat unbeatable was to really collect money from the towns and add more skills to my character.

Now my Knight character has the following skills:
Earth Mastery..........100
Fire Mastery.............100
Air Mastery...............100
Water Mastery.........100
Battle..........................120
Cunning......................100
Morale........................103

My level has reached top level 50, all spells from all capture creatures and mounts. and most if not all great items created with the rune stones.

You want to see for yourself and play my Puzzle Quest Challenge of the Warlods File? Download it here!(link Unavailable) extract the rar file, then place it in the "SaveData" folder inside the "PSP" folder of your PSP memory stick. Enjoy!!

Below is me playing against Lord Bane(last boss of the game) I beat him easy under 2 minutes with the help of his own Death Gaze spell. He starts off by having 16 % spell resistance so the spell might be rejected the first time. but you still have 84 % chance it will hit!

PSP: A Great Tool For Teaching Technology To Kids

Posted on 13:05 by Unknown
It is great to know that the PSP can be used in different ways. Most people would just think the PSP is only a gaming device, and thus the only capability of it is just to be able to play games on it. Not true at all. It can actually be an tool to teach children technology.

Browsing the web I found this article(more about it here) and got my interest. Look at the video below and see how these children are just so smart. I think it is not because they own a PSP, but definitely their PSP as a tool, enhance their knowledge.

G.I. Joe: Rise Of The Cobra Upcoming Movie And PSP Game

Posted on 14:33 by Unknown
G.I Joe: Rise Of The Cobra original movie coming out for later on this year (2009). As always when it comes to titles like this 80's cartoon series, for example, there will be game developed with the same title; much like Transformers the movie, X-men, Hulk, Dragon Ball Evolution (coming soon), and others.

I have never been a fan of games developed based on movie titles because they usually suck. Do not get me wrong! I do enjoy the movies though. Transformers (the original 80s animated series) for example; I remember growing up watching this 80s cartoons and became one of my favorite shows and would never miss an episode. Yes, I did enjoyed the movie when it came out, not as much as the cartoons though. But talking about the PSP Transformers the movie game, it is a total different thing. I do not even remember the gameplay at all, because I remember only playing it for the first couple of minutes and then lost interest, never to be played again. That is just one examples of many.

G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero is also up there with my favorite childhood animated series. Even the Intro song is still stuck in my head, that is how much I got influence by this great cartoon. But, I am afraid G.I. Joe: Rise Of The Cobra PSP game will suffer the same Transformers the movie game fate. There is maybe a 10% chance it might be good. I do not want to sound like this game title is condemned to be terrible. But maybe if game developers would do more research and really work hard to make an interesting, fun, G.I. Joe PSP title, then it would be excellent.

There is no date G.I. Joe: Rise Of The Cobra PSP game will be released as of now, but will be sometime soon the movie comes out on summer 2009. It is developed by Double Helix, and Published by Electronic Arts (EA)

The video below is the original G.I. Joe 80's cartoon intro. I pay honor to this cartoon for being so great!!

Prinny -Can I Really Be The Hero?- PSP Gameplay Review

Posted on 17:56 by Unknown
I was actually expecting something more like disgaea. But Prinny: Can I Really Be The Hero? blew me away!. It is about time I see a stage passing, fight them off, careful not to fall off the cliff game, and not to mention the bosses at the end of each level. It can be quite interesting meeting the different monsters or sometimes a couple of sexy demon twins who want to kick your butt. Hehe! Not to worry you can withstand up to 3 hits without dieing. And besides that, you have 1000 lives at your disposal.

I do recommend this game, even though it might seem a little childish on the count of the graphics, the high pitch voices, the background music, and little cute creatures and monsters and prinnys and demons, etc. But that doesn't take away the fact that is fun to play.

The controls are excellent, not complicated and have many functions such as stomp on enemies and stun them, air attacks, dashing, double jumps to reach high places, and more...I wont say anything about the plot, if you decide to get this title you will find out for yourself and so I do not want to spoil the fun. Well, I have certainly enjoyed it. :)

On the video below, I show my skills battling the demon twins at the end of the high tome forest. that was my third try, and luckily I did not lose any lives that time, but looks like I was about to, hehe! :D

MTV Music Generator On PSP - Playing My Tune

Posted on 00:21 by Unknown
I think one of the overlooked games of all times is MTV Music Generator. Yes, it is somewhat an old game. I can't quite remember the year it was actually released, but it was before PS2. It is a PSOne title and I think it did not get very popular with video gamers. Perhaps because most would think this was no fun creating music, it would act more like a job, than a fun game? I really do not know.

Well, It was fun for me when it came out. I got my copy of the game and would play it for hours and hours just creating different beats. Back then, my PSOne was still alive. (it's dead now RIP PSOne :y )

What I like about this game is that it is very easy to mix different types of tune loops. You do not have to be a music genius to match good tune loops. You just gotta have a good ear, because not all loops combined together will make a good sound.

On the video below I show my tune which I just had to download it. I created this tune in approximately 5 minutes or maybe less. One advantage point this game is better on the PSP than on the PSOne is the ability to store much more data with large PSP memory sticks (mine is 4 Gigabyte), than PSOne memory cards. Plus you do not have to worry about disc scratching (damaging the game). All games residing in the PSP memory stick won't go to waste unless your memory stick breaks. But on the opposite side, on the PSOne, you could get short samples of audio from any music CDs, which for the PSP, you cannot. Bummer!!!

Overall MTV Music Generator On the PSP Rocks, and for all who have CFW on their PSP this is available to download using your PSOne emulator(Popsloader)

Counter Strike Portable PSP Homebrew Game

Posted on 16:44 by Unknown
Counter Strike Portable for the PSP is tactics game I believe. Sorry, for the 3 times I have tried to play this game I still do not understand it. Maybe it is just me, but see, the built-in manual or tutorial maybe missing in this game.

:o Where the people at? If you look at the video I made down below, you will see I did not meet any baddies. Well, I didn't see anyone. It was just me carrying a gun and a knife to defend myself. There are some other options on gameplay, but to tell you the truth, in my opinion this game is very poor on graphics and that is really a big point deduction for me. But considering this is a homebrew, game maybe we will see a much better version in the future.

That is all for now; I will leave you with the link to download this game for you to see, rate it for yourself and tell me about it. If anything, this game is just a breeze to download because it is only a 52 MB file. All you need to do is download the winrar file here(Dead Link) (18 MB), extract it, and place that folder in the root of your memory stick.

PSP Games And Media Update #2

Posted on 13:25 by Unknown
Wow! :o For people following my blog, I apologize for my blog being down a few days, 8 days to be exact. It seems blogger took it down because according to them their robots detected spam activity on my blog. which is not true at all. I have worked hard to get the content I post here. It's original and found nowhere else in the internet. When I find a topic to talk about that is important to me as a PSP gamer, I talk about it here. It is not duplicate content from other sites because I expose my own opinion.

Well, anyway I am so glad my blog is back, and hope not to go trough that again. I was kinda feeling down these days that my blog had been disabled. I don't have a back up of my blog in case something goes wrong. I was thinking of having a back up right before blogger disabled my blog, but then I thought "what could go wrong?". Well, now I am warned.

Thank you all for visiting me, it is a pleasure having a good audience. :D

Phantasy Star Portable Demo Gameplay And How To Download For Any PSP

Posted on 17:24 by Unknown
Phantasy Star Portable is a great game, somehow I think even if it is considered a role playing game it also has that adventurer platform system to it. It is quite enjoyable and just to get to the controller part of it, might seem a little complex, but I guess it is just a matter of getting used to it. I know with some practice you will be an expert on how to do the different types of attacks, changing weapons, getting healing items, etc. I love RPG games that show the battles in real time mode as opposed to taking turns in slashing each others.

Well, here you will start by creating your own character, you get to choose the race, gender, job, clothing and more... In this case I chose a girl type human. A little talk is in order to make you understand the story of the game. You will talk with Liai Martinez (why a Spanish last name, I wonder) and Viviene and you will be off to your first mission. The first mission is just to get you familiarized with all the different functions of doing combat and exploring the different maps.

How to download the demo? I was trying to get the demo though the internet using my computer but when installing on my PSP did not work. It said the "game cannot be started". So then I tried a different approach. Using just the PSP and with an account on PStore you can download the demo (note that you will need to open an account if you have not already and with official 5.oo firmware or CFW5.00 M33 and above.) So any PSP can really play this demo. The only thing that was a little bit of a pain I guess its the time it takes for the PSP to download the game. It took approximately 45 minutes for the 272 MB file. But really worth it for this great game.

PSP Persona Game Intro

Posted on 16:39 by Unknown

(Above is a screen shot of a battle scene in Persona PSP)

Persona for PSP is a role playing game which the PSP has just remade it from the great PS2 title. It seems interesting enough though I never got a chance to play it on my PS2. It is published and developed by Atlus, and as for the date it will be released is by the end of April, 2009 Japan only. As of the date released for the U.S., it is still to be announced.

The graphics look awesome, but the only downside I see on this title is that is seems too teenager targeted. not so much for the older generation of gamer like me. Can actually see that it just might take place in a high school or something. But hopefully that doesn't take much of the fun. Still hope to see this announced for North America. :D

PSP 3000 Hacking Video Tutorial???

Posted on 16:26 by Unknown

Still have my doubts, after seeing the video above. There are just too many people claiming they have finally hacked the PSP 3000. I do not yet know if this is legit. However, it seems like all the components of the PSP 3000 are there. Will anyone go to the extend to changing and customizing the PSP 2000 (or 1000 for that matter) so it will look like a PSP 3000 and doing a video in which they show the hacking of a regular PSP? That is what I wonder.

I could understand this is a hot topic that all PSP gamers world wide over the internet want to know more about. And so, its easy to mislead people coming out with a hot topic such as this one just for getting lots of page views.

On the description of the author of this video on Youtube.com he goes on to say that he can't show any links to the access files he used just yet, but will in the future. kinda fishy is you ask me. Well, we will know soon enough if he is just bull s-ing us. I will need more than this video to get convinced. What do you guys think?

Talkman is a interactive game in which you can learn multiple languages words and phrases. Max is the blue bird and will be your teacher. Nice innovation in which your word pronunciation is tested. See, the first video below. Its available in Japan and Europe, but the bad thing here is that this game never made it to the U.S. or it has not already.

Warning: just be careful on how to use it(see second video. hahahaha!)

300: March of Glory PSP Gameplay

Posted on 15:51 by Unknown

This is not my video by the way, 300: March of glory for the PSP did not get a good review! and quite frankly I knew it. Most games that are just based on movies do not do well. and that is just true to any movie game that is released. It is more like a quick flame up that last just a couple of days, then its totally forgotten.

I do not own this game, but seems quite bloody and just much of the same sword fighting throughout the entire time. I also notice some long loading time. wow! If there was one thing that was really interesting to me is the story intro; long but, the better to understand the story. which I must say that the movie 300 was nice.

PSP Games And Media Update!

Posted on 15:10 by Unknown

PSP Games And Media Update. I had long wanted to create a blog site about PSP. Being one who discovered this great handheld by Sony. I just had to share some of my experience with the whole wide world.

PSP Games and Media came to my mind for the title nearly about a year ago. Mainly I just wanted to share reviews of PSP games, and talk about movies out on UMDs. Certainly this seems like a full time job since now there is much games and movies to cover. Quite overwhelming to cover all of that. So I just kept it to the most recent of games, PSP games that I have really liked and enjoyed, game emulating for those with hacked PSPs and more stuff, all related to PSP of course.

So, here as of this date, I have finish doing my tabs located at the upper part of my page. I will leave it that way for now and until I see the need to change it, but so far this is going to be the standard way I show it. The last tab is my store which I have just created on amazon.com. There you will find all PSP products, which are divided on 3 main categories:

1. PSP Systems: This goes to the releases of the PSP consoles packs, and also covers the PSP console generations: 1000(phat PSP), 2000(slim and light PSP), and the new PSP 3000 with integrated mic and better LCD screen.

2. PSP Gaming: All games available on Amazon.com. Include all Official UMDs games from A to Z released here on the U.S.

3. PSP Accessories: You can find any accessories here including the necessary hardware for the PSP, including memory sticks, cables, chargers, all at very good price.

So now, I have monetized my blog a little, and kinda seeing the small rewards now that my visitor count per day has gone up since the day I started blogging. Posting on my blog is an ongoing process since there is always something new to talk about the PSP. It is definitely a job, but not the kind you hate going to. It is fun, but sometimes I lack the words to say that would make my postings even better. I really enjoyed getting feedback on my posts and encourage all to comment.

Well, that is all for this update. For your visit I thank you and wish you have a very good PSP gaming experience here. ^.^

Mytran Wars PSP Official Trailer

Posted on 20:36 by Unknown
Here is the official Mytran Wars PSP trailer.

Game plot takes place in the future where the use of machines are extreme. earthlings and extraterrestrial beings fight for earth's natural resources. Looks like a strategy super powerhouse, and the graphics are not any short of amazing.

It is not yet known the exact date when this great title will arrive in the U.S. just now, but it's definitely a 2009 title. I think it might be released probably on 3rd, or 4th quarter of 2009.

Published by Deep Silver and developed by Stormregion. How people have long thirst for a really good strategy game with tremendous graphics and fun gameplay. Can Mytran Wars be the one? What do you guys think?

PSP Camera: Eye Toy

Posted on 14:30 by Unknown
The PSP camera is going to have a 1.3 megapixel resolution. Won't it be cool to have video conferences using a hot spot wifi?

Now its really getting like when I used to watch anime that would show how the future would be like in a some years from the time they were made. You see them using communicators with visual screens like a watch or any other portable device to talk to another person not near by.

I think the PSP technology is one of the best; It does anything you can think of media wise, but really based on gaming. Sony has really made this portable device stand out from the rest. and with the camera incorporated, it will make it lots of times more attractive to get.

Besides video conferences, I am assuming now the PSP camera will also be able to record video, just like a camcorder, and of course using it for gaming. Which by the way I wonder how the eye toy will be. I did hear it might be coming soon by late this year (2009). I just hope, we get it soon here in the U.S. I will be one of those of many lining up at the local electronic store to get it. haha! I still need to do more search on this topic to find out more... do you guys have some more info on the PSP camera?

PSP The Amount Of Games Stored For 2009

Posted on 10:27 by Unknown

Not that many games came out for the best portable gaming device in 2008. Yes, I talk about the PSP. Resources say that games for PSP last year(2008) was rather poor. "God of War: Chains Of Olimpus", "Crisis Core: Final Fantasy 7", "N+", and "Stardust Portable" are some of the titles that stood up for 2008. My personal favorites are: "Valhalla Knights 2", "King of Fighters Collection: Orochi Saga", "Neverland Card Battles" and "Crimsongem Saga" just to name a few. But overall just picked from the few there were.

It is very important to know that quantity matters more than quality. It is just as true in gaming; I do care much about quantity also, because the more games available, the variety of genres and much rich library to choose from. I think we all have a certain game genre we prefer more than others. Take me for example, I think I am an RPG gamer more than anything, but I also enjoy my fighting, puzzle, sports games as much too. If many of all the games coming out are just with low play value, and with little to no fun, then it defeats the purpose of playing PSP games. So, I have come to the conclusion that there is got to be good a balance between quality and quantity.

This year (2009) promises much for the PSP. Will the game releases for PSP on 2009 double 2008? Some think this year will be 3 times more!!!. Some of the games that are just in the works that everyone talks about it, even before release. "Phantasy Star Portable", "Martial Arts: Capoeira", "Dinasty Warriors", and "Dissidia Final Fantasy" are some of the games I hear about much, and also some of my favorite wanted games for PSP coming soon. And these are just first quarter game releases. What do this mean to video gaming developers? The competition is on! Which can make a game so cool, so amazing, it will be the talk of all? We will just see. What do you guys think?
